About the role
We are looking for enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to join schools across Chester. You will work directly with pupils of varying ages and abilities, providing tailored support that helps them thrive academically and personally.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver 1:1 and small‑group assistance to pupils across a range of subjects.
- Support teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a focused learning environment.
- Promote pupil progress, confidence and wellbeing.
- Collaborate closely with teachers and school staff to ensure consistent support.
Required profile
- Previous experience working with children or young people in a school or care setting.
- Patient, proactive and supportive attitude.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Experience with additional learning needs is highly desirable.
