About the role
We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our specialist ASD school in Ealing. You will work with small groups of pupils aged 6‑16 who have autism spectrum disorder and complex needs, providing social, emotional and academic support.
Key responsibilities
- Support small groups of students in the classroom, helping them engage with the curriculum.
- Deliver social and emotional guidance to promote positive behaviour and wellbeing.
- Collaborate closely with the class teacher and other support staff to maintain a structured learning environment.
- Use visual aids and Makaton to enhance communication and understanding.
Required profile
- Enhanced DBS check on the update service.
- Minimum of 1 year experience working in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) setting.
- Experience supporting pupils with ASD and using Makaton or similar communication methods.
- Commitment to a full‑time, long‑term role.
