About the role
We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join a Supported Learning Team in East London. The role focuses on helping learners with learning difficulties, disabilities, and other barriers to fully engage with the curriculum.
Key responsibilities
- Support and include learners with learning difficulties, disabilities, and other barriers within the curriculum.
- Assist in maintaining the quality of teaching and learning across curriculum areas.
- Help identified learners with additional SEND/EHCP needs achieve progress and attainment.
- Promote independence while ensuring a safe and healthy environment for each student.
- Provide personal care for students who require it.
Required profile
- Experience in learning support or support work with young people with learning disabilities (e.g., autism, ADHD).
- Background working in an educational setting providing academic or personal care support.
- Willingness to provide personal care support to high‑needs individuals.
- Available to interview immediately.
- Right to work in the UK and an enhanced Adult & Child DBS (within the last 3 months or on the update service).
