Learning Support Assistant – Full/Part Time (Temporary)

About the role

We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis, working either full‑time or part‑time in a further education setting. You will provide high‑quality support to learners, helping them achieve their academic goals while ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist learners with a range of special educational needs (SEN) in classroom and one‑to‑one settings.
• Support teachers by preparing resources, monitoring progress and providing feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, learning activities and safeguarding concerns.
• Promote a positive learning atmosphere and encourage student engagement.

Required profile

• Previous experience working with students or young adults in a school, college or care setting.
• Understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to child welfare.
• Minimum GCSE grades A‑C (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
• Enhanced DBS check on the update service, with immediate availability.
