Learning Support Assistant – Full‑time (Temporary)

About the role

We are partnering with an Outstanding Ofsted‑rated academy to recruit a Learning Support Assistant on a full‑time, temporary basis. The role starts in September 2026 and runs until the end of the academic year, providing one‑to‑one or small‑group support for pupils with special needs.

Key responsibilities

• Work 5 days a week, 8:30 am–4:00 pm, on‑site in a classroom of 6‑8 pupils.
• Deliver personalised learning support on a 1:1 or small‑group basis.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to adapt resources and activities.
• Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and support interventions.
• Ensure a safe, inclusive environment that meets each child’s individual needs.

Required profile

• Recent (within 3 years) UK‑based experience working with children or in a support/care role.
• Motivated, optimistic and passionate about helping young people with special needs.
• Reliable and able to start immediately.
