About the role
Long Term Futures are seeking a resilient and proactive Learning Support Assistant to join a school in Wandsworth on a full‑time, long‑term temporary basis. You will work closely with teachers, the SENCo and senior leadership to provide targeted support for pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the class teacher with daily classroom management and lesson delivery.
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group interventions for pupils with ASD and other SEN needs.
- Support the curriculum for Year 1‑6 students, adapting activities as required.
- Ensure pupils’ safety and wellbeing at all times.
Required profile
- Teaching Assistant qualification (advantageous but not mandatory).
- Creative approach to learning with flexibility to adapt strategies.
- Strong behaviour management and ability to build rapport with children.
- Reliability and commitment to a long‑term placement.
