About the role
We are seeking a friendly and inclusive Learning Support Assistant to join a primary school in Greenwich from September 2026. You will work closely with pupils in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, helping them overcome barriers to learning through classroom assistance, small‑group interventions and one‑to‑one support.
Key responsibilities
- Support pupils during whole‑class lessons and independent learning activities.
- Deliver targeted small‑group interventions in literacy and mathematics.
- Provide one‑to‑one assistance for children who need additional guidance.
- Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and independence.
- Collaborate with teachers and the SENCO to monitor and record pupil progress.
Required profile
- Experience working with primary‑aged children.
- Patient, enthusiastic and adaptable attitude.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to helping every child achieve their full potential.
