Learning Support Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Learning Support Assistant to join an Outstanding Ofsted‑rated school in South Croydon. This full‑time, temporary position runs from the start date until the end of the academic year, working 5 days a week, 8:30 am–4:00 pm.

Key responsibilities

• Support a classroom of 6‑8 pupils on a 1:1 or small‑group basis.
• Deliver tailored activities that meet each child’s individual needs.
• Collaborate with teachers to ensure inclusive learning environments.
• Maintain accurate records of progress and interventions.

Required profile

• Recent (within 3 years) experience in a child‑related or support role in the UK.
• Passionate, optimistic attitude towards working with children and young adults with special needs.
• Reliable, punctual and able to start immediately.

Required skills

• Experience supporting children with special educational needs.
• Ability to work effectively in 1:1 and small‑group settings.
