Learning Support Assistant

About the role

This full‑time, permanent position supports learning and teaching across the curriculum, with a particular focus on pupils with SEND, at OneSchool Global’s Biggleswade campus. The role operates within the school’s self‑directed learning philosophy and contributes to a safe, inclusive, and technology‑enhanced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or small‑group support to pupils with SEND across subjects.
• Assist in planning, reviewing and delivering curriculum activities.
• Support pupil health, safety, welfare and emotional/behavioural needs.
• Ensure SEND provision aligns with the school’s self‑directed learning framework.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff to adapt resources and strategies.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant or similar role.
• Understanding of special educational needs as defined in the SEN Code of Practice.
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent knowledge, experience and skills (desirable).
• Ability to work effectively with students, staff and families in a supportive manner.
