Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – SEN School

About the role

Remedy Education is seeking a compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a well‑established specialist SEN school in Enfield. You will work closely with pupils who have a range of additional needs, helping them achieve their full potential in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to pupils across the school.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging, differentiated lessons.
• Support pupils’ communication, social, emotional and academic development.
• Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Utilise visual resources, sensory activities and communication aids where appropriate.
• Encourage independence and confidence both inside and outside the classroom.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists and the multidisciplinary team.
• Provide personal care assistance when required, with training provided.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Care Worker or Support Worker.
• Experience supporting children with Autism, ADHD, SEMH or complex learning needs.
• Patient, caring and resilient approach with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Required skills

• Ability to implement positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies.
