Learning Support Assistant – One-to-One SEN Support

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to provide one‑to‑one support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in an 11‑18 academy. You will help students achieve the outcomes set out in their Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and support their academic and social development.
Key responsibilities
- Work closely with class teachers and professionals to plan and deliver tailored learning activities.
- Provide educational and emotional support to pupils with SEN.
- Assist with routines, transitions and behaviour management.
- Monitor and record progress towards EHCP outcomes.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive and nurturing school environment.
Required profile
- Compassionate and dedicated attitude towards supporting pupils with SEN.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
Required skills
- Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs.
- Understanding of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
