Learning Support Assistant – Part‑time (1:1 SEN support)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join an outstanding primary school in Islington. This part‑time, temporary position provides one‑to‑one support for a high‑needs pupil, helping them achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for a high‑needs pupil in an outstanding primary school in Islington.
• Assist the classroom teacher with delivering lessons and adapting activities to meet the pupil’s individual needs.
• Collaborate closely with the school’s SEN team to implement personalised learning plans.
• Support the pupil’s social and emotional development throughout the school day.

Required profile

• Prior experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN).
• Compassionate, patient and committed to helping children succeed.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a supportive staff team.

Required skills

• Experience in one‑to‑one SEN support.
