Learning Support Assistant – Post‑16 SEN (Full‑time)

About the role

This full‑time position supports 16‑19 year‑old learners in a specialist SEN school in Greenwich. You will work alongside a dedicated team to help students overcome behavioural, social, emotional and mental health challenges and develop independence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to students during lessons and vocational activities.
• Help create structure, confidence and functional‑skill pathways for each learner.
• Assist with behaviour management using positive‑behaviour strategies.
• Support the delivery of life‑skills and vocational programmes.
• Maintain clear, consistent communication with staff, students and families.

Required profile

• Experience working with young people who have SEMH or behavioural challenges.
• Ability to stay calm and steady in difficult situations.
• Clear and confident communication skills.
• Minimum of A‑Levels in English and Maths.
• Willingness to undertake training in positive‑behaviour support and related areas.
