Learning Support Assistant – Primary School (Part‑Time)

About the role

The school is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join its inclusive infant setting from September 2026. This part‑time, term‑time position supports pupils in the classroom, helping them access the curriculum and develop confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils individually and in small groups within the classroom.
• Provide targeted learning assistance to ensure curriculum access.
• Encourage confidence, independence and social development.
• Collaborate closely with teachers and other support staff.
• Assist with emotional, behavioural and educational needs.
• Promote a safe, positive and engaging learning environment.

Required profile

• Passionate about supporting young children.
• Experience working with children in a school, childcare or similar setting.
• Patient, caring and supportive attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Flexibility, commitment and a positive outlook.
