About the role
We are partnering with several primary schools in Medway to provide experienced SEND Teaching Assistants. The positions start after the half‑term break and run until the end of the academic year, offering both day‑to‑day supply work and longer‑term placements.
Key responsibilities
- Support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
- Assist teachers in delivering tailored learning activities for children with ADHD, challenging behaviour, or additional learning needs.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with school staff to monitor progress and adapt support strategies.
Required profile
- Proven experience working with primary‑age children who have SEND.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour with patience and consistency.
- Flexibility to work school‑hours only.
- Passion for supporting young learners and building strong relationships within school communities.
Required skills
- Knowledge of SEND best practices and strategies.
- Effective communication with pupils, teachers, and parents.
