About the role
We are seeking enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to join secondary schools in Waltham Forest. You will work closely with teachers to help students overcome learning barriers, build confidence, and achieve their academic potential.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support during lessons.
- Collaborate with teachers to deliver engaging learning activities.
- Assist pupils with SEND, encouraging independence and positive behaviour.
- Support intervention sessions and help prepare classroom materials.
Required profile
- Experience working with children or young people in schools, tutoring, youth work, coaching or similar settings.
- Patient, enthusiastic, adaptable and strong communicator.
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
Required skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a school team.
