Learning Support Assistant (SEN) – Full‑time

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to provide one‑to‑one support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in an 11‑18 academy. You will help students achieve the outcomes set out in their Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and ensure they thrive academically and socially.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personalised support to pupils with SEN, following their EHCPs.
• Plan and implement tailored learning activities in collaboration with class teachers.
• Provide educational and emotional assistance, supporting routines, transitions and behaviour management.
• Work closely with teachers and other professionals to monitor progress and adapt interventions.
• Foster an inclusive, safe and nurturing classroom environment.

Required profile

• Compassionate and dedicated attitude towards supporting children with SEN.
• Experience or understanding of working with EHCPs and special educational needs.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to promoting both academic and social development of pupils.
