About the role
We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work with a caring school in the Tonbridge area. The role focuses on supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD, helping them access the curriculum and build confidence in a structured environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to students with SEMH, ASD and ADHD.
- Assist teachers in adapting lessons and resources to meet individual needs.
- Monitor student progress and report observations to senior staff.
- Maintain a safe, calm and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement support plans.
Required profile
- Experience working with children who have SEND, particularly SEMH, ASD or ADHD.
- Calm, patient and resilient demeanor.
- Ability to build trusting relationships with pupils and staff.
- Genuine passion for inclusive education.
