Learning Support Assistant – Southwark (Full‑time)

About the role

This full‑time position supports pupils with additional learning needs in Key Stage 3 and 4 at a vibrant inner‑city secondary school. You will work closely with students on a one‑to‑one and small‑group basis, helping them make progress across a range of academic subjects.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils with additional learning needs in Key Stage 3 and 4 on a one‑to‑one and small‑group basis.
• Deliver targeted assistance across a range of academic subjects.
• Collaborate with the SENDCO and subject teachers to plan and monitor progress.
• Prepare and contribute to assessments, reports and individual learning plans.
• Maintain a calm, consistent approach to help pupils overcome learning barriers.

Required profile

• Commitment to inclusive education and pupil progress.
• Ability to work effectively with young people in a diverse, inner‑city secondary school.
• Strong communication skills for liaising with teachers, parents and support staff.
• Reliability and professionalism in a full‑time school setting.

Required skills

• Experience supporting learners with SEND in a school environment (preferred but not mandatory).
