About the role
We are looking for a compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist educational setting in Medway. The role is full‑time and term‑time, offering the chance to make a lasting impact on young people with complex needs.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support tailored to individual learning needs.
- Build trusting relationships that encourage engagement and confidence.
- Assist students in managing emotions and behaviour using calm, consistent approaches.
- Deliver differentiated learning activities across the curriculum.
- Promote independence, resilience and self‑esteem.
- Collaborate with teachers and wider staff to meet EHCP targets and individual plans.
Required profile
- Empathetic, patient and genuinely passionate about supporting young people.
- Resilient and able to remain calm in challenging situations.
- Strong communicator with a positive, proactive attitude.
