About the role
A caring primary school in Lambeth is looking for an empathetic Learning Support Assistant to provide one‑to‑one SEN support for a Year 1 pupil. The role starts in September with the possibility of trial days as soon as possible.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the pupil with emotional regulation and engagement during lessons.
- Support the development of early literacy and numeracy skills.
- Follow personalised support plans and deliver calm, consistent guidance.
- Build strong rapport with the child and work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO and parents.
Required profile
- Experience supporting children with SEN in mainstream settings.
- Ability to follow personalised support plans.
- Calm, consistent approach to guidance.
- Strong interpersonal skills for building rapport.
- Willingness to collaborate with school staff and families.
