Lecturer – Carpentry & Joinery (Part‑time)

About the role

Trafford College Group is seeking an experienced Lecturer in Carpentry and Joinery to deliver part‑time teaching on its Stockport Campus. You will work with Level 1‑3 students and apprentices, providing a solid foundation for careers in construction and related trades.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Carpentry and Joinery modules across Levels 1‑3, including apprenticeship standards.
• Develop and deliver curriculum that meets industry standards and learner needs.
• Support multi‑trade construction and maintenance qualifications where required.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of teaching methods and course materials.

Required profile

• Qualified carpenter/joiner with significant site and bench experience.
• Experience in related trades such as property maintenance or renovation is highly valuable.
• Experience working with young people in an educational setting.
• Level 5 teaching qualification (Certificate in Education) preferred; NQT status considered.
