Lecturer – Design Surveying & Planning for Construction

About the role

Join the Construction & Engineering team at Newcastle & Stafford Colleges Group as a Lecturer delivering the T Level in Design Surveying and Planning for Construction. You will teach full‑time students, inspire them to meet industry standards and support their progression into apprenticeships or employment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, interactive lessons and assessments for Design Surveying and Planning programmes.
• Prepare teaching materials, set and mark examinations, and monitor student progress.
• Provide pastoral support as a course tutor, ensuring a supportive learning environment.
• Contribute to recruitment, retention, achievement, attendance and progression targets.
• Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve teaching practice.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification and technical expertise in construction surveying and planning.
• Willingness to obtain a teaching qualification (DTLLS, PGCE or equivalent) if not already held.
• Current industry experience with up‑to‑date knowledge of construction standards.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a full teaching timetable.

What we offer

• Salary range £32,136 – £42,848 per annum.
• Up to £5,000 golden hello payment.
• Employer pension contributions up to £12,288.
