Lecturer – Electrical Installation (Construction)

About the role

Middlesbrough College is looking for a motivated Lecturer in Electrical Installation to join its Construction department. You will deliver high‑quality teaching to learners aged 16‑18 and adults, helping them develop the skills needed for a career as an electrician.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across a range of electrical installation programmes.
• Design and implement an assessment programme that meets college standards.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify student strengths and needs, providing targeted intervention.
• Maintain accurate records for awarding bodies, funding agencies and statutory regulators.
• Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement of teaching practice.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher or willingness to obtain a teaching qualification.
• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation.
• GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent).
• Assessor Level 3 and Verifier Level 4 qualifications or willingness to work towards them.
• Current knowledge or experience of teaching Electrical Installation is desirable.
