About the role
We are seeking an experienced Carpentry & Joinery professional to join our teaching team in Salisbury on a permanent part‑time basis. You will deliver both practical workshop sessions and classroom lessons, assess learners and prepare them for successful careers in the construction sector.
Key responsibilities
- Teach and assess learners in Carpentry & Joinery across a range of levels.
- Deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons.
- Prepare students for apprenticeships, industry roles and further progression.
- Maintain a safe, well‑organised workshop and learning environment.
- Support learners’ confidence, skill development and trade‑ready knowledge.
Required profile
- A Level 3 qualification in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent).
- Strong practical background in carpentry, joinery or related construction work.
- Current knowledge of industry standards and practices.
- Teaching qualification welcomed – support provided to achieve it while working.
