Lecturer in Education & Early Years

About the role

Bath College is seeking a dedicated Lecturer for its Early Years Team. This permanent, full‑time position involves delivering high‑quality teaching, supporting learner progress, and contributing to curriculum development across early years and education programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of teaching and learning in line with awarding body requirements.
• Prepare and maintain schemes of work, lesson plans, assessment plans and learning materials.
• Provide induction, initial assessment, advice and guidance to learners.
• Manage tutor‑group responsibilities, monitoring progress, wellbeing and achievement.
• Coordinate and record formative and summative assessments.
• Support delivery of NCFE Level 1, T‑Level transitions and other curriculum demands.
• Communicate examination entry and timetable arrangements to students and staff.
• Contribute to the college’s Teaching and Learning Excellence Programme and marketing activities.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in Early Years or Education.
• Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
• GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English at grade C or above.
• Commitment to inclusive education and student success.

• Salary range £30,348 – £40,015 per year (visible to candidates).
