Lecturer in Electrical Engineering

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Electrical Engineering professional to join our teaching team in Salisbury. You will inspire the next generation of engineers by delivering industry‑relevant theory and practical sessions.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and assess learners across Electrical Engineering programmes, covering both classroom and laboratory environments.
• Design and deliver engaging, inclusive sessions that develop problem‑solving abilities and technical confidence.
• Support students in acquiring knowledge and hands‑on skills in electrical systems, electronics, automation, control systems, power engineering and industrial technologies.
• Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement of teaching materials.

Required profile

• Qualified Electrical Engineer with professional experience in electrical systems, electronics, automation, control, power or industrial technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts clearly, either as a lecturer or as an engineer moving into teaching.
• Commitment to student development and a supportive, learner‑focused environment.

What we offer

• Salary: £29,294 (unqualified) to £40,814 (qualified) per year, plus a £3,000 pro‑rata specialist skills shortage bonus.
• Permanent, full‑time contract – 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
