Lecturer in Electrical Installation

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Installation professional to join our teaching team on a permanent part‑time basis. You will share your practical knowledge with learners, helping them develop the skills needed for a successful career in the electrical trade.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and assess learners in Electrical Installation across a range of levels.
• Deliver engaging practical workshops and classroom‑based lessons.
• Prepare students for industry roles, apprenticeships and further progression.
• Maintain a safe, professional workshop and learning environment.
• Support learners’ confidence, skills development and trade‑ready knowledge.

Required profile

• A Level 3 NVQ qualification in Electrical Installation.
• Strong practical background in electrical installation or related electrical roles.
• Current knowledge of industry standards and practices.
• Teaching qualifications are welcomed; support is provided to achieve them if not already held.

• Salary up to £22,061 per year plus a £3,000 Specialist Skills Shortage Bonus (pro rata).
• Permanent part‑time contract – 20 hours per week.
