Lecturer in English – Permanent Role at Crewe Campus

About the role

We are looking for an inspirational Lecturer in English to join our Crewe campus. You will deliver GCSE resit courses and functional skills, contributing to high‑quality teaching, learning and assessment within our Further Education environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and teach GCSE resit courses and functional skills in English.
• Contribute to aspirational teaching, learning and assessment practices.
• Maintain accurate records of learners’ progress.
• Support learners in achieving their academic goals.

Required profile

• Degree qualification.
• Teacher training (PGCE, DTLLS, CertEd) or working towards it.
• GCSE Grade C (4/5) or equivalent in English and Maths.
• Ability to teach an additional subject (advantageous).
• Knowledge of awarding body standards and requirements.
• Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion.
• Experience in Further Education.
• Up‑to‑date occupational experience.
• Enhanced DBS check.
