About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Lecturer to deliver Health & Social Care programmes across our Newcastle and Leek campuses. The role involves teaching a range of qualifications, supporting learner progress, and contributing to the college’s reputation for excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Level 2 Diploma, BTEC Extended Diploma, HNC for Health Care Practice and Level 3 T‑Level Health courses.
• Prepare lesson plans, learning materials and assessment tools.
• Mark assignments, monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Engage in marketing activities such as open days and liaise with local employers and schools.
• Contribute to departmental development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant health or social care discipline.
• Recent teaching experience in further education or a related setting.
• Demonstrated ability to innovate and deliver engaging, learner‑centred sessions.
• Commitment to professional development and collaborative working.
