Lecturer in Mathematics – Variable Hours

About the role

We are seeking a qualified or experienced mathematics professional to join our client on a flexible, variable‑hours basis. You will deliver engaging lessons to learners studying Functional Skills, GCSE and beyond, helping them build confidence and achieve their qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and assess learners across a range of maths programmes, from Functional Skills to GCSE and higher levels.
• Deliver structured lessons covering numeracy, algebra, geometry and statistics.
• Prepare learners for further study, apprenticeships or careers that require strong mathematical skills.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health & safety and professional practice.
• Support learners in developing problem‑solving and logical thinking abilities.

Required profile

• Qualified maths teacher or experienced maths professional with a teaching/assessor qualification.
• Experience in schools or further education is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for helping learners succeed.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of numeracy, algebra, geometry and statistics.
