About the role

Leeds College of Building is seeking a passionate Lecturer in Timber to deliver high‑quality teaching to both young learners and adult students. Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess timber‑related modules across a range of qualifications.
• Develop and continuously improve curriculum content to reflect industry standards and emerging technologies.
• Support students in developing employability skills, including maths, English and enterprise.
• Contribute to college-wide initiatives such as safeguarding, Prevent and diversity programmes.
• Engage with local employers to ensure training aligns with sector needs.

Required profile

• Qualified trade professional with substantial experience in the timber and construction sector.
• Strong commitment to student success and employability.
• Willingness to participate in curriculum innovation and college development activities.
• Ability to undergo an enhanced DBS check and online public‑domain screening.
