About the role
We are seeking an experienced Painting & Decorating professional to join our further education college as a Lecturer. You will deliver practical, workshop‑based teaching to learners preparing for careers in the construction industry.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging classroom and hands‑on workshop sessions for Painting & Decorating and Multi‑Skills programmes.
- Plan, prepare and assess learning activities and provide constructive feedback.
- Offer academic and pastoral support, acting as a Personal Tutor where required.
- Organise industry work placements and ensure health and safety standards in workshop environments.
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement.
Required profile
- Industry experience in Painting & Decorating.
- GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or equivalent.
- Level 4 qualification in a relevant trade (or willingness to achieve).
- Teaching qualification at Level 5 (or willingness to achieve).
- Strong communication and organisational abilities.

What we offer
- Salary £32,896 – £41,592 per annum.
- Full‑time permanent contract (37 hours per week).
- Up to 50 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
