Lecturer & Programme Lead – Plumbing

About the role

Join Sunderland College’s Construction department as a Lecturer & Programme Lead for Plumbing. You will deliver practical and classroom‑based teaching, lead the plumbing programme and support learners throughout their FE journey.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver plumbing programmes to Further Education students.
• Support learner achievement, attendance and progression.
• Plan engaging lessons and hands‑on workshops.
• Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance.
• Build positive relationships with employers and industry partners.

Required profile

• Level 3 Plumbing qualification.
• Minimum three years’ hands‑on plumbing experience.
• Level 2 Maths and English.
• Passion for supporting and developing young people.
• Teaching qualification not essential – EPNE will fund a Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training.
• Enhanced DBS will be completed if required.

• Salary £31,375 – £40,912 per annum.
• Permanent, full‑time (37 hours) contract.
