Left Hand HGV Class 1 Driver – Temporary (Portsmouth)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Left‑hand drive HGV Class 1 (Cat C+E) driver for general haulage assignments across the UK. The position is based in Portsmouth and can start immediately, offering flexible day‑shift start times.

Key responsibilities

• Operate articulated HGV Class 1 vehicles for general haulage deliveries and collections.
• Complete all paperwork and electronic records accurately and keep them up to date.
• Maintain break and working‑hour logs in line with Working Time Directive regulations.
• Adhere to agency and client safety policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with customers, clients and operations teams to ensure smooth deliveries.
• Deliver assigned tasks efficiently and within required timeframes.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence.
• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Minimum one year of experience driving left‑hand drive HGVs in the UK.
• DP World Card and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than six penalty points on the licence.
• Good knowledge of the UK motorway network and WTD regulations.
