Legal Assistant – MOJ Stage 3

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join our busy Ministry of Justice (MOJ) Stage 3 team in Liverpool. The role focuses on progressing admitted liability claims through Stage 3 of the MOJ portal with accuracy and efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Handling general call queries and MOJ administration
- Managing court post
- Reviewing claimant and vehicle‑related losses, including credit hire
- Drafting witness statements
- Submitting Stage 3 packs
- Issuing proceedings
- Preparing court bundles and briefing counsel
Required profile
- Previous MOJ or personal injury experience advantageous
- Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment
- Good Excel skills
