Legal Assistant – MOJ Stage 3 (Liverpool)

About the role

Bond Turner is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join its MOJ Stage 3 team in Liverpool. You will progress claims through Stage 3 of the Ministry of Justice portal, handling admitted liability cases and aiming to settle quantum efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Answer general call queries and manage team communications with claimants and third parties.
• Perform all MOJ administration, including handling court post.
• Review claimant and vehicle‑related losses, including credit hire.
• Draft accurate witness statements in a timely manner.
• Submit court‑proceeding packs via the MOJ portal and issue proceedings to the courts.
• Prepare court bundles and brief counsel as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or similar role (advantageous).
• Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
• Capability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
