Legal eBiller – Finance Team

About the role

We are partnering with a leading international law firm to recruit an experienced Legal eBiller for its Finance team. Based in Manchester (or Leeds), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring electronic invoices are prepared, validated and submitted accurately across a wide client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, validate and submit electronic invoices via client e‑billing platforms, adhering to accuracy and compliance standards.
• Manage high‑volume billing cycles, meeting internal and client deadlines.
• Investigate and resolve invoice rejections, short payments and billing queries, coordinating amendments and resubmissions.
• Build strong relationships with partners, fee earners, finance colleagues and business support teams.
• Review client billing guidelines to ensure invoices align with specific requirements.
• Maintain up‑to‑date billing records in finance and practice management systems.
• Reconcile billing data between systems, identifying and correcting discrepancies.
• Support month‑end billing activities, reporting, accruals and broader finance deadlines.
• Prepare management information and ad‑hoc billing reports as needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for e‑billing processes and controls.

Required profile

• Previous legal e‑billing experience within a law firm or professional services environment.
• Strong understanding of the billing lifecycle, revenue processes and electronic invoice submission requirements.
• Comfortable working in a deadline‑driven, high‑volume billing environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to review client, matter and invoice information accurately.
• Strong communication skills and confidence to build relationships with stakeholders.
