Legal Editor (Remote)

About the role

BARBRI is seeking a qualified solicitor or barrister to join its UK Learning & Content Development team as a Legal Editor. Working fully remotely, you will create and maintain high‑quality legal education content for aspiring and practising lawyers.

Key responsibilities

• Create, edit and maintain course materials, assessments and digital learning resources across BARBRI’s UK portfolio.
• Ensure content is legally accurate, pedagogically effective and compliant with BARBRI’s editorial standards.
• Monitor regulatory and legislative changes and update content proactively.
• Conduct legal research using authoritative resources and incorporate findings into learning materials.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external subject‑matter experts to develop new learning solutions.
• Support course accreditation activities and manage freelance authors.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor of England & Wales or practising Barrister.
• Expertise in areas such as Wills & Probate, Tort, Trusts, Contract Law or Dispute Resolution.
• Experience developing legal education content for professional qualifications or continuing legal education.
• Strong legal research, analysis and technical writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a remote environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using content management systems.
• Familiarity with Westlaw, LexisNexis or similar legal research platforms.
• Ability to responsibly leverage AI‑enabled tools for content development.
