Legal Secretary – Residential Property

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to join our well‑established residential property team in Swindon. You will work closely with conveyancing fee earners, ensuring smooth progression of transactions from instruction to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Support conveyancing fee earners on residential property matters.
• Prepare contracts, legal documents and completion packs.
• Manage files from opening through post‑completion.
• Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders and third parties.
• Carry out AML checks and onboarding processes.
• Prepare completion statements and assist with billing.
• Manage diaries, schedule appointments and track deadlines.
• Provide general administrative support to maintain efficient office operations.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Legal Secretary in conveyancing or private client work.
• Strong understanding of the conveyancing process.
• Excellent typing and organisational abilities.
• Professional communication skills.
• Team‑oriented attitude and pride in delivering quality work.
