Lettings Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Lettings Accountant to join our Bexley team. You will manage landlord and tenant accounts, ensure compliance with client‑money protection regulations and provide a high level of service to both landlords and tenants.

Key responsibilities

• Manage landlord and tenant accounts accurately and process rental income.
• Reconcile client bank accounts daily, weekly and monthly.
• Administer tenant deposits in line with government‑approved schemes.
• Prepare financial statements and reports for landlords and management.
• Process contractor and supplier invoices and payments.
• Monitor arrears and liaise with the property management team on outstanding balances.
• Ensure compliance with Client Money Protection regulations and relevant legislation.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end accounting processes.
• Respond to landlord and tenant enquiries promptly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate financial records using property management and accounting software.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Lettings Accountant or in a similar property accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of client accounting and bank reconciliations.
• Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

What we offer

• Permanent full‑time position (Monday‑Friday, 9am‑5pm).
• Basic salary £30‑32,000 per year, dependent on experience.
