Lettings Negotiator

About the role

John D Wood is seeking a Lettings Negotiator to join its Docklands and City office. You will work with a professional team that values meticulous service and a deep understanding of the London and South of England residential market.

Key responsibilities

• Meet and register new applicants.
• Maintain regular contact with landlords and applicants, recording all communications.
• Build trust and long‑lasting relationships with clients.
• Arrange, organise and conduct property viewings.
• Negotiate offers on behalf of clients.
• Stay informed about the local market and identify new business opportunities with the manager.
• Achieve daily and weekly performance targets.
• Collaborate across departments and refer business when appropriate.

Required profile

• Excellent organisational and prioritisation abilities.
• Professional, ambitious and enthusiastic attitude with a desire to learn.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong rapport‑building skills and ability to develop long‑standing relationships.
• Resilience under pressure in a fast‑changing environment.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication.
• Full, clean driving licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience using Outlook for email and calendar management.
