Level 2 Teaching Assistant – Primary School

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school in Tameside. This full‑time, temporary position starts in September 2026 and offers the chance to support children’s learning across the curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher in delivering daily lessons and activities.
• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils who need extra help.
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
• Prepare and organise learning resources and classroom displays.
• Monitor pupil progress and report observations to the teacher.

Required profile

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Previous experience working in a primary school setting.
• Positive, reliable and adaptable attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential.
