Level 3 Early Years Educator (Nursery & Reception)

About the role

Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with well‑resourced primary schools in Barnet to place experienced Level 3 Early Years Educators in Nursery and Reception settings. The role can be full‑time or part‑time and involves creating a safe, nurturing, language‑rich environment where every child can thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver stimulating, play‑based learning experiences in line with the EYFS statutory framework.
• Lead the classroom alongside other practitioners and the class teacher.
• Carry out observations and assessments using Development Matters and contribute to learning journeys.
• Liaise with parents, carers and the SENCO to support children with SEND and EAL needs.

Required profile

• Level 3 Early Years qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 3, BTEC National, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Solid hands‑on experience in an EYFS setting, preferably Nursery or Reception.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and Development Matters.
• Up‑to‑date safeguarding and child protection knowledge.

Required skills

• Ability to plan and deliver child‑led, play‑based learning across all seven EYFS areas.
• Skilled in early years observation, assessment and progress tracking.
• Experience supporting children with SEND and EAL.
