Level 3 Early Years Educator – Nursery & Reception

About the role

Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with well‑resourced primary schools in Enfield to place experienced Level 3 Early Years Educators in nursery and reception settings. The role can be full‑time or part‑time and involves delivering play‑based learning in line with the EYFS framework.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver stimulating, play‑based learning experiences across all seven EYFS areas.
• Take a lead role within the room, working alongside other practitioners and the class teacher.
• Carry out observations and assessments using Development Matters and contribute to children’s learning journeys.
• Liaise with parents and carers to support each child’s progress.
• Support the identification and inclusion of children with SEND and EAL needs under SENCO guidance.

Required profile

• Level 3 Early Years qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 3, BTEC National, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Solid hands‑on experience in an EYFS setting, preferably nursery or reception.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework and Development Matters.
• Confidence in planning and delivering child‑led, play‑based learning.
• Skilled in observation, assessment and progress tracking.
• Experience supporting children with SEND and EAL.
• Warm, patient and professional with excellent communication skills.
• Current safeguarding and child protection knowledge.
