Level 3 Nursery Practitioner – Leckhampton

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a well‑established early years setting in Leckhampton, Cheltenham. You will work with children aged 0‑2 years, creating a warm, stimulating environment where every child can explore, learn and thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, safe environment that supports each child’s emotional and developmental needs.
• Lead and participate in nursery rhymes, songs, storytelling and imaginative play.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Monitor children closely, ensuring safety while encouraging independence.
• Support all aspects of children’s care, including messy play, outdoor activities and creative projects.
• Facilitate daily routines such as tea‑time role‑play, reading sessions and group activities.

Required profile

• Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (essential).
• Experience working in a nursery with children aged 0‑2 years.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Caring, patient and nurturing approach.
• Full driving licence is advantageous.
