Level 3 Qualified Nursery Teaching Assistant – Mainstream Primary School

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Level 3 Qualified Nursery Teaching Assistant to join our outstanding mainstream primary school in Camden. You will work within a vibrant Early Years setting, supporting children’s learning through play‑based activities and helping to create a safe, nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support children’s learning through play‑based activities and child‑led projects.
• Deliver phonics, reading, communication and early literacy support.
• Facilitate language development, social interaction and fine‑motor, sensory and creative activities.
• Assist with outdoor learning, exploration and transitions between routines.
• Maintain a calm, stimulating classroom and promote emotional wellbeing.
• Observe and record child development, contributing to monitoring and planning.

Required profile

• Full Level 3 qualification relevant to Early Years education.
• Experience working in a Nursery or Reception setting.
• Warm, nurturing and patient attitude with strong communication skills.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child‑centred practice.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
