About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in Huyton, starting September 2026. The role involves supporting teachers and students across multiple year groups, delivering targeted interventions and fostering an inclusive learning environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide in‑class support to individuals and small groups.
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation, resources, and classroom management.
- Deliver planned interventions in literacy, numeracy, or SEND‑focused areas.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning atmosphere.
- Monitor, record, and report on student progress and behaviour.
- Utilise Level 3 training to support learning independently and alongside teaching staff.
Required profile
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential).
- Previous experience working with children or young people in a school setting.
- Proactive, patient, and adaptable approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Genuine passion for education and student development.
- Valid enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
