Level 3 Teaching Assistant – Key Stage 2

About the role

We are partnering with a primary school in Salford to recruit an experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant for Key Stage 2. The role starts in September 2026 and offers a supportive environment where you can deliver targeted interventions and help pupils achieve strong academic progress.

Key responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning across KS2 classrooms.
• Deliver focused intervention sessions in English and Maths.
• Provide 1:1 and small‑group academic support.
• Assist teachers with lesson preparation and assessment activities.
• Encourage independence, resilience and confidence in pupils.
• Help maintain a positive and engaging learning environment.

Required profile

• Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Recent experience (within the last 2 years) in a UK primary school.
• Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum.
• Confidence delivering intervention programmes independently.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to raising pupil achievement.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the KS2 English and Maths curriculum.
