Level 3 Teaching Assistant – KS2 (Wirral)

About the role

Hays is recruiting a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support a Key Stage 2 pupil in the Wirral area. Working alongside the classroom teacher, you will help manage daily routines, deliver learning activities and create a positive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one support to a KS2 child, adapting activities to individual needs.
• Assist small groups of children with classroom tasks and learning exercises.
• Help maintain classroom order and modify challenging behaviour when required.
• Collaborate with the teacher to follow lesson plans and classroom procedures.

Required profile

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Proactive, supportive attitude with a genuine passion for education.
• Confidence working with children of varying abilities, including SEND pupils.
• Strong communication, patience and ability to follow teacher directions.
• Flexibility to work part‑time, full‑time or term‑time as needed.
